yes yours are the same as in my tree - all descended from William Shacklady born in Plaistow in 1770. It is the only major tribe of Shackladys outside NW England.

Thanks for this. I requested the birth certificate of Walter shacklady just to confirm it was the correct John as ther was another Walter Shacklady about the same age but with a different mothers name but same father also in Mile End at that time. I have now confirmed that Walters father was John and his mother Sarah.
I did not know Albert but I do remember as a boy been taken to The Royal Airforce Memorial at Runneymead with my Dad and his mother and Aunt Emmy and Lilliy(Alberts sisters) to see his name on the memorial.
