This is the last will and testament of John Charles Hoadly of Maidstone in the County of Kent Gentleman I give and devise all those (…) or tenements and premises belonging to and situate at Shoreham in the County of Kent in the occupations of Mrs Turner and Mrs Wood with the yards gardens and appurtenances thereunto belonging unto my son Alexander Hoadly his heirs and assigns for ever And I give and bequeath all other (…) estate whatsoever and wheresoever, except trust or mortgage estates and all my (….) whatsoever unto and equally between my two daughters Mary Frances and Catherine Rhodes the wife of Mr John Fullagar of Town Malling in the said County of Kent Draper their heirs executors administrators and assigns absolutely according to the nature and quality of the same respectively as tenants in(….) and not as joint tenants And I give and devise all estates vested in me as a trustee or mortgagee unto my trustees and executors hereinafter named upon and for the trusts and equities affecting the same And lastly I hereby revoke all former wills or testamentary documents and of this my last will and testament I do hereby appoint my said son Alexander Hoadly and the said John Fullagar and my said daughter Mary Frances Hoadly to be the Trustees and Executors In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this eleventh day of April one thousand eight hundred and sixty four - John Charles Hoadly - Signed by the said testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us present at the same time when at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses - Knowles King Solr, Maidstone - Henry Hughes Solr Maidstone PROVED at London 22nd June 1866 by the oath of John Fullagar out of the Executors to whom (…) was granted power reserved of making the (…) Grant to Alexander Hoadly the son and Mary Frances Hoadly Spinster the Daughter the other Executors. |

I Alexander Hoadly of Pattenson House Folkestone Road, Dover in the County of Kent Gentleman declare this to be my last will which I make this sixteenth day of October One thousand eight hundred and ninety three. I appoint my dear wife Fanny Hoadly and my nephew Benjamin Edward Lines of Northampton Executors of this my will and I give to Benjamin Edward Lines the sum of twenty pounds in consideration of his trouble in the office of Trustee and Executor of my will. I give all my ready money and any money which shall be in my name in any joint stock Bank or other Bank unto my wife absolutely. I give devise and bequeath all my property estate and effects both real and personal not hereinbefore disposed of unto my Trustees upon trust, to sell convert into money and get in the same or any part thereof not consisting of money but with full power at their discretion to suspend for such period as they shall think proper such sale conversion and getting in and I direct that the income and no part thereof shall be added to Capital and I direct my Trustees to stand possessed of the monies to arise from the sale conversion and getting in of my trust Estate upon trust to invest the same in any Government stocks or Funds of the United Kingdom or on mortgage of real or leasehold property in England and to hold the income to arise therefrom and also the rents and income of my Trust Estate until the sale conversion and getting in thereof upon trust during the life of my wife to pay to her or permit her to receive the same for her own use And after her decease upon trust to divide the whole of my trust Equally between my daughters Jessie Trelease the Wife of Richard Trelease and Lily Laverack Hoadly the moiety or half share of Jessie Trelease to be paid and transferred to Benjamin Edward Lines and Lily Laverack Hoadly subject to the trusts hereinafter contained namely upon trust to invest or keep invested the same moiety on any of the investments before mentioned and to pay to Jessie Trelease the income of such moiety during her life for her sole and separate use free from the debts control and engagements of any husband and in such manner in all respects as my Trustees shall deem expedient And after her decease upon trust to pay the whole of the capital as well as the income of such moiety unto her daughter Mildred Gladys Trelease if then living. But in case Mildred Gladys Trelease shall be then dead upon trust to pay and divide the same moiety unto and equally between her Brothers Alexander Thomas Hoadly Trelease Richard Mitchell Trelease and Roy Cecil Trelease and any other children of Jessie Trelease then living and who shall attain the age of twenty one years. I direct that the trusts powers and discretions hereby vested in or given to the Trustees herein named shall be exercised and exercisable by the Trustee for the time being of my Will. "John Charles Hoadly aged 14 years and upwards son of William Hoadly of Maidstone in the County of Kent, Coachmaker, as well of his own free will and as by and with the advice of his said father, doth put himself apprentice to his said father William Hoadly, his executors and administrators to serve from the day of the date of the indenture for the term of seven years to learn the art of a Coachmaker. Indenture dated 30th August 1815: Enrolled Maidstone 31st August 1815."
"Maidstone Burghmote held the first day of November 1822. Before George Burgess esq. Mayor.
At this court came John Charles Hoadly a younger son of William Hoadly of this Town a Coachbuilder, a Freeman of this Corporation, and desired to be made free by his father's copy according to the custom, and he is allowed the same and has paid his common fine forty shillings, and hath taken his Freeman's oath, and the other oaths, and he is made free."

| 22 | Will. Text From Source: I Alexander Hoadly of Pattenson House Folkestone Road,
Dover in the County of Kent Gentleman declare this to be my last will which I
make this sixteenth day of October One thousand eight hundred and ninety three.
I appoint my dear wife Fanny Hoadly and my nephew Benjamin Edward Lines of
Northampton Executors of this my will and I give to Benjamin Edward Lines the
sum of twenty pounds in consideration of his trouble in the office of Trustee
and Executor of my will. I give all my ready money and any money which shall be
in my name in any joint stock Bank or other Bank unto my wife absolutely. I give
devise and bequeath all my property estate and effects both real and personal
not hereinbefore disposed of unto my Trustees upon trust, to sell convert into
money and get in the same or any part thereof not consisting of money but with
full power at their discretion to suspend for such period as they shall think
proper such sale conversion and getting in and I direct that the income and no
part thereof shall be added to Capital and I direct my Trustees to stand
possessed of the monies to arise from the sale conversion and getting in of my
trust Estate upon trust to invest the same in any Government stocks or Funds of
the United Kingdom or on mortgage of real or leasehold property in England and
to hold the income to arise therefrom and also the rents and income of my Trust
Estate until the sale conversion and getting in thereof upon trust during the
life of my wife to pay to her or permit her to receive the same for her own use
And after her decease upon trust to divide the whole of my trust Equally between
my daughters Jessie Trelease the Wife of Richard Trelease and Lily Laverack
Hoadly the moiety or half share of Jessie Trelease to be paid and transferred to
Benjamin Edward Lines and Lily Laverack Hoadly subject to the trusts
hereinafter contained namely upon trust to invest or keep invested the same
moiety on any of the investments before mentioned and to pay to Jessie Trelease
the income of such moiety during her life for her sole and separate use free
from the debts control and engagements of any husband and in such manner in all
respects as my Trustees shall deem expedient And after her decease upon trust to
pay the whole of the capital as well as the income of such moiety unto her
daughter Mildred Gladys Trelease if then living. But in case Mildred Gladys
Trelease shall be then dead upon trust to pay and divide the same moiety unto
and equally between her Brothers Alexander Thomas Hoadly Trelease Richard
Mitchell Trelease and Roy Cecil Trelease and any other children of Jessie
Trelease then living and who shall attain the age of twenty one years. I direct
that the trusts powers and discretions hereby vested in or given to the Trustees
herein named shall be exercised and exercisable by the Trustee for the time
being of my Will.
