Note on Husband: George HARVEY - shared note

Emails from Ainslie Sharpe:

George HARVEY and Henrietta WEBB were married in Cambridge on 19 November1796, their two daughters christened there, and the younger daughter was buried there.

George HARVEY was a witness to marriages of John HARVEY and Elizabeth HARVEY in Cambridge 17 December 1799 and 6 January 1997 respectively.

We don't actually know when Lucy was born (as you know she was christened in Cambridge on 28 May 1798).

George HARVEY married Lucy HARRISON in Sutteron in Lincolnshire (according to an un-named source in the one of the Lincolnshire Strays database.)

What was George HARVEY doing that he moved backwards and forward from England to Ireland??? And why was Charlotte Caroline COOPER born there as well.

Now that we have established that those "ticks" are actually "I" for Ireland, we have to establish where in Ireland, and just maybe Charlotte Caroline's marriage certificate will give us the answer.

Inchecking the IGI for Ireland there are many, many Harvey's in Ireland.

Amongst them are many Elizabeths and Johns (George was a witness at their weddings in Cambridge) and there is a Rebecca Lucy Harvey christened in 1803 in Antrim.

What was George Harvey doing - Army, Church, or what??

If Lucy went back there for the birth of Charlotte, her parents must have still been living there, surely?

Hello

The below burial was in All Saints, Cambridge

1800 Aug 18 Henrietta Harrison HARVEY dau of George & Henrietta.

It seems Hanover Square was a popular address for the affluent, the ADEANE family who lived and farmed in Babraham, Cambridgeshire always had their children baptised & buried in Babraham church, but their residence appeared as Hanover Square in other documents!!

I will have a search through my records to see if I can find any reference that might explain the Harrison forename.
Graham Hoadly.
