Note on Husband: Edward Augustus HOADLY - shared note

Little so far is known about Edward Augustus.

He appears not to have married.

In 1871, Edward is living at 16 Park Street, Leamington Priors, Warwickshire, with his mother. [RG10/3195/1/10]

He was a painter (as in decorator, I imagine), and died young (of a heart attack) while working (presumably), on the re-decoration of His Majesty's Theatre, Haymarket, in 1902.

In the 1901 census Edward is listed as married to Jane - but so far I have found no record of such a marriage. Possible they were just living together.

Note on Wife: Jane ?

This Jane is listed as Edward's wife in the 1901 census - there is no record of a marriage though - so it may be that they were just living together ...
