Death of Miss Hilda Roberts.-

 

Much sympathy is felt with Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Roberts, of 6, [sic] Victoria Street, shrewsbury, in the death of their daughter, Miss Matilda (Hilda) Mary Roberts, who died on May 25 at the age of 51.

Miss Roberts had lived in Shrewsbury all her life, and had spent all hre business career with the late Mr. E. Goodwin Preece. She was a member of the old Shrewsbury Choral Society, and for many years had been organist and chapel secretary at the Hill's Lane C.M. Chapel. At one time she was secretary to the Shrewsbury Cattle Trade Association.

The mourners at the funeral were Mr. R. M. Roberts, father; Messrs. W. E. Roberts (Leamington Spa), R. E. Roberts, A. Roberts, L. Roberts and T. Roberts, brothers; Mrs. C. V. Goodwin Preece and representatives from Hill's Lane and Belmont churches, Toc H and many friends.
