Individual Note 1

John Still went into partnership with his cousin Edward Hoadly and they ran a grocery business at 17 St George's Place, Brighton until the partnership was dissolved in 1863.

At present (2008) I am not sure what became of John Still - was he ill at the time? There are two possible deaths for him (see note).

He is the only one of his siblings for whom I have no photograph, which could suggest he died young.
