Individual Note 1

My Uncle Alan Gibbs, Florence's eldest son ... said that Frank Howard lived with Hettie in Meeting House Lane, opposite the Hoadly's Bakers Shop.2

Individual Note 2

Frank Howards wife was Hettie, he was in the Royal Flying Corps during First World War.2

Individual Note 3

My Uncle [Alan Gibbs] remembers helping his Uncle Gyp clear a shed at Lugard Road and finding two brass models of French Spad aircraft. He was told by Gyp that the models were made by Frank whilst serving in France. Frank later worked at the Gas works in the Old Kent Road.

My Aunt confirms that over the years Frank, Charles and Ernest Howard all moved to Whitstable, all living in the same road.2

Individual Note 4

Now to uncle Frank...I am sure I have told you some of the stories about him..he started as a fitter then when he came out of the war he went back to the Old Kent Rd gasworks and joined their sales dept; this from a social point of view at the time was a quantum leap..airs of grandure was the order of the day; he had a car you know...

At the gas works my fathers brother...my uncle bill. Was a stoker there.That was another nail in the Gibbs coffin. Although from uncle Bill

> i always got sixpence when he met me coming home from school..from uncle Frank we were told to keep out of his way as he was a man of great importance.

Years later when I moved to Bexley Heath I lived in the next road to Frank and Hettie and my wife and I would sometimes call in to see Hettie with the 3 children but we had to keep them out of Frank's way.

What a family ????? But it's the only one we have,,heigh ho:::::::::3
