Farmhouse. Mid-C17 possibly incorporating part of a medieval building,

partly rebuilt in mid-to late C18 and extended late C20. Timber framed

with painted brick infill, rebuilt in C18 red brick to front and gable

ends; graded slate roof. L-plan comprising long hall range, aligned

north-east to south-west, with late C20 gabled brick addition projecting

C19 casement directly below eaves to right and C19 segmental-headed

casement to left and right of ledged door with gabled hood to right

of centre. Red brick ridge stack in 2 sections immediately to left

of centre, its full width indicated by rubblestone in back wall. Framing:

exposed to rear, square panels, 2 from high cill to wall-plate with

one long curving tension brace, probably medieval. Single-purlin,

wall-plate and ridge piece ends visible to left gable end. C19 lean-
