There is a William Coles at Bishop's Castle in the 1841 census, an apprentice stone mason, age 14.
[HO 107/919/10/40/23].
The 1851 census has him lodging with William and Elizabeth Hume [?], of Castle Green, Bishop's Castle.
William is a Mason, and so is his Landlord.
[HO 107/1983/184/33].
He is living in Wistanstow, Shropshire at the time of his marriage.
In 1871 Census Charlotte Hamer (daughter of Edward and Charlotte Hamer: Charlotte Hamer Snr. nee Charlotte Price was the daughter of William Coles's mother, Jane, by her second marriage to David Price) is staying with William and Elizabeth Coles and listed as his niece (aged 5)
Actually she would be his half-niece.
By 1881 census, William and his wife, Elizabeth are living at More, Salop.

who died January 5th 1905 aged 75 years
Also of Elizabeth wife of William Coles who died February 7th 1905 aged 85 years
"Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give thee rest.".
